• This position requires a strong understanding of modern applications, cloud computing service models, system integration, communications design, and high-volume data processing, including reporting and data flows across complex, distributed environments. The successful candidate will bring solid knowledge ofcloud platforms and services, with the ability to evaluate and recommend appropriate solutions without being deeply hands-on in implementation. Rather than functioning as a purely technical architect, the role focuses on end-to-end system thinking, governance, and decision-making, ensuring that architectural choices are practical,scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term business transformation goals.

• The Enterprise Application Architect will play a central role in driving the company’s digital transformation, balancing modernization initiatives with the realities of legacy systems and ensuring effective interoperability between old and new platforms. This includes defining integration patterns, promoting best practices, and guiding internal stakeholders toward cohesive and sustainable architectures. The role also involves evaluating solutions from both technical and financial perspectives, contributing to cost optimization and FinOps considerations in close cooperation with the rest of the IT teams as part of the overall architecture strategy.Collaboration is a key aspect of the role, working closely with a wide network of professionals, including application owners, IT specialists, business stakeholders,and external vendors. The Enterprise Architect will facilitate alignment across these groups to deliver viable, efficient, and compliant solutions. In addition, the role requires awareness of user experience and change management, supporting thesuccessful adoption of new systems as legacy platforms are replaced and business processes evolve.

• A broad and well-rounded understanding of technology domains is essential, including software and hardware fundamentals, cloud computing, system operations, integration approaches, databases and datalakes, networking, firewalls, protocol communications, and security principles. Familiarity with programming concepts, design patterns, and enterprise architecture practices would be beneficial, even if not directly applied. This role will also support a growing portfolio of strategic initiatives, where close coordination between application owners and external vendors is essential towards building a resilient application architecture landscape. The Enterprise Application Architect will be instrumental and have full ownership in ensuring that these initiatives are delivered in a consistent, controlled, and forward-thinking manner that supports the company’s long-term strategic vision.

To excel in this role, you should bring a broad, well-rounded understanding of technology domains alongside a proven track record of managing complex enterprise ecosystems. We are looking for: 

• Prior similar role in an organization with a significant number of systems andstructure.
• Strong understanding of complex enterprise ecosystems, including web andcloud technologies, system integration patterns, data flows, APIs, andcommunication between modern and legacy platforms.
• Ability to define, enforce, and participate in architecture review processes,ensuring solutions meet regulatory (e.g., SOX), security, and group-levelstandards.
• Proficiency in creating clear, structured architectural documentation (e.g.,system landscapes, data flows, integration diagrams etc.) using standardframeworks and tools to support decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
• Broad knowledge of cloud platforms and services, infrastructure concepts,and emerging technologies, with the ability to evaluate and recommendsuitable solutions aligned with business and operational needs.
• Strong communication skills to align with Application Owners, business users,IT teams, and external vendors.
•  Ability to challenge, guide, and consolidatedifferent perspectives into viable and agreed solutions.
• Awareness of business needs and user impact to support smooth systemadoption and transformation; understand organizational changes.
•  Utilities industry experience is desirable.

Education Level:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, SoftwareEngineering, or a related field.
• A master’s degree in an IT-related field is desirable.
• English language at least on B2 level.
• Certifications related to the role, like Azure Solutions Architect Expert, SixSigma, ITIL, etc. will be highly appreciated.

Other Skills / Experience:

•  At least 5 years of previous experience in Enterprise Application Architecturerole.
• Participated in the architectural design of systems requiring concurrenttransaction processing and large-scale data management.Be exposed to end-user applications and customer-facing solutions architecture.
• Knowledge of process analysis and business flows, including experience withtools or frameworks to design, present, and document architecturalmodelslike MS Visio, Draw.io, Modelio, Miro, etc.
