The responsibilities of this SAP FI/CO Accountant role include:

• Own and execute the SAP month-end closing process, ensuring all activities, dependencies and deadlines are completed accurately and on time
• Manage FI and CO posting periods, ensuring appropriate period controls and preventing unauthorized postings
• Perform foreign currency revaluations for open items and balances
• Perform and validate monthly reconciliations between sub-ledgers (AP, AR, Fixed Assets) and the General Ledger
• Execute SAP Material Ledger closing activities, including actual costing and inventory valuation updates
• Perform technical closing of production orders, identifying un-costed goods movements, missing settlements and potential discrepancies
• Execute cost center assessments, distributions and activity type price calculations
• Support production accounting, inventory valuation and variance analysis
• Ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity of financial data within SAP
• Contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of accounting and closing processes

To be a good fit for this SAP FI/CO Accountant position you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
• Advanced hands-on knowledge of SAP ERP FI/CO, ideally within SAP S/4HANA or ECC 6.0
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience in month-end closing and financial reconciliations
• Experience with Material Ledger, production accounting and costing processes
• Previous exposure to a manufacturing or production environment will be highly valued
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively within a continuously evolving and growing organization
