As a Quality Assurance Officer, your main responsibilities will be:

•  Oversee the entire production process to ensure strict adherence to internal quality procedures, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Ensure the olive oil complies with national and international food safety regulations and certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, IFS), safeguarding product integrity and consumer safety.
• Verify that both olive oil and packaging materials meet legal, safety, and customer requirements for domestic and export markets.
•  Identify and report any deviations, non-conformities, or manufacturing defects in the product or packaging, collaborating with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare, coordinate, and participate in internal and external audits.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and quality records in line with audit requirements.
• Oversee and validate laboratory testing and chemical analysis.
• Proactively propose and implement quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and process optimizations to enhance product safety, consistency, and competitiveness.

The ideal candidate for the position of Quality Assurance Officer will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Science, or a related field (Master’s degree in Quality or Food Safety is a plus).

• Knowledge and certification in Quality Management and Food Safety Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22000, IFS, HACCP).

• Proven experience (2–5 years) in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within the food or beverage industry; experience in olive oil or edible oils is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with internal and external audit preparation and execution.

• Background in regulatory compliance for both domestic and export markets.

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise with production, R&D, suppliers, and auditors.
• Organizational skills for documentation, compliance tracking, and audit readiness.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and quality culture.
