As a Health & Safety Engineer your main responsibilities are:

• Identify, assess, and evaluate operational health & safety risks across industrial facilities through regular inspections, audits, and formal risk assessments in both production and support areas.
• Develop, implement, and monitor health & safety policies, procedures, and preventive measures to ensure a safe working environment and operational excellence.
• Ensure full alignment with Greek and EU OHS legislation and standards, maintaining all necessary documentation, records, and regulatory reports.
• Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and external H&S service providers to ensure effective coordination and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Design and deliver H&S training for all levels of staff, promoting a strong safety culture and a mindset of continuous improvement across the organization.
• Support the planning and execution of emergency drills and procedures, including fire safety, evacuation protocols, and first aid readiness.

The ideal candidate for the position of Health & Safety Engineer will be expected to possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Production Engineering, or related field).
• Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health & safety legislation and standards.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
• Ability to train, communicate, and influence employees on health & safety matters.
• Very good command of Greek and English (written and spoken).
• Certification as a Safety Engineer / Health & Safety Professional will be a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO standards related to health & safety (e.g., ISO 45001) would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
