The responsibilities of the Finance & Accounting Manager position include:

•  Oversee the timely preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and budgets.
• Liaise with the Finance team and key stakeholders to ensure financial plans are aligned with the overall business plans.
• Analyze expenditure and work closely with project and asset teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization and improvement.
• Guide the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and presentations for key stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain Finance and Accounting systems in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Monitor receivables and ensure timely statutory compliance.
• Lead the finalization and periodic review of the Business Plan.
• Review cash flow requirements and prepare periodic cash flow presentations.
• Review commercial contracts and monitor related cash outflows.
• Support the preparation of bids for sub-concessions and other business development initiatives.
• Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, financial institutions and public authorities.
• Promote cost consciousness and cost leadership across business initiatives.
• Perform cost-benefit and buy-versus-rent analyses for relevant transactions.
• Monitor market and sector developments and support the realignment of financial strategies where required.
• Assess and monitor financial and business risks and establish appropriate risk-mitigation procedures.
• Support debt-funding activities, including financial modelling and review of loan documentation.
• Liaise with banking institutions regarding funding requirements.
• Monitor financial covenants and related compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams for the preparation of financial reports and analyses.
• Lead, motivate and develop the Finance team, fostering teamwork and supporting effective succession planning.
• Monitor and support the timely refund of VAT from the Greek State.
• Control and monitor the financial aspects of concession-related activities.

To be a good fit for the Finance & Accounting Manager position, you should have:

• University degree with specialization in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• CPA, MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 15 years of post-qualification experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Previous exposure to project accounting during the construction phase, preferably within the Infrastructure sector.
• Strong experience in AOP preparation, budgeting and financial planning.
• Solid knowledge of financial and management reporting.
• Experience in MIS preparation and presentation.
• Strong understanding of cash-flow management and cost control.
• Experience in financial modelling, debt funding and loan documentation.
• Good understanding of covenant compliance and banking relationships.
• Experience in risk assessment and financial controls.
• Strong stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Proven experience in team management and development.

At least 15 years of post-qualification experience in Finance and Accounting.
