Your Key Responsibilities as a Deputy Financial Manager are:

• Record and process accounting transactions and supporting documentation in the company’s ERP systems (SAP and SoftOne).
• Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with Greek Accounting Standards (Greek GAAP) and applicable statutory requirements.
•  Monitor, reconcile and maintain data submitted through the myDATA platform.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, profit & loss statements and cash flow reports.
• Prepare management reports and financial information for local management and the Board of Directors.
•  Assist in the preparation of consolidation reporting packages and support external audit processes.
• Support tax reporting and ensure compliance with applicable tax legislation.
• Prepare intercompany reporting and collaborate with other entities across the Group.
•  Participate in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Perform reconciliations of customer, supplier and bank accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Support credit control activities by monitoring receivables and following up on outstanding balances.
• Monitor inventory and warehouse accounting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the Finance Manager and the Regional Finance team in the Netherlands, supporting the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects while progressively developing into a future Finance Manager role as part of the company’s succession plan.

To be an ideal candidate you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline. 
• 6-8 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a multinational or international environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Greek Accounting Standards (Greek GAAP).
• Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end closing processes, financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L and cash flow reporting.
• Experience in preparing management reports, budgeting and forecasting will be considered a strong asset.
• Familiarity with consolidation reporting packages and external audit processes.
• Good understanding of tax compliance, VAT and the myDATA platform.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and reporting within a group structure.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and/or SoftOne.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. 
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive mindset with the ambition and potential to grow into a Finance Manager role through a structured succession plan.
