The main responsibilities of the Commercial Director:

• Define and deploy the national commercial strategy, ensuring full alignment with budget targets.
• Steer business development efforts across Greece, mapping market segments and capitalizing on emerging growth channels.
• Implement, operate, and optimize the Distributor Management System to boost partner performance and market reach.
• Establish product portfolio offering and pricing policies in close coordination with the Managing Director and Paris HQ.
• Lead, coach, and develop the sales and technical teams, driving commercial acumen and operational excellence.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with OEMs, ITGs, and SPDs, providing regular market intelligence and performance updates.
• Supervise the product lifecycle for automotive lubricants and specialized chemical additives.
• Represent commercial interests within the Management Committee, collaborating closely with marketing, finance, and supply chain functions.
• Enforce strict adherence to corporate ethics, compliance, and HSEQ standards across all commercial activities.

The ideal candidate for the Commercial Director must possess the following:

• University degree, ideally in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive commercial experience with proven success in indirect sales and distributor network management.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing commercial and technical sales teams.
• Strong track record in strategic business development, market sizing, and capturing new business opportunities.
• Hands-on experience in managing and optimizing Distributor Management Systems.
• Solid financial acumen with comprehensive understanding of P&L performance, commercial KPIs, margin mix, and DSO control.
• Expertise in developing pricing architectures, commercial policies, and closing complex contractual negotiations.
• In-depth understanding of the automotive lubricants market in Greece, competitor dynamics, and customer purchasing behaviors.
• Strong familiarity with OEM technical specifications, requirements, and industry-standard protocols.
• Proven competence in key account management and competitive tender processes.
• High degree of autonomy, personal accountability, and strong self-discipline.
• Demonstrated emotional resilience, self-control, and the capacity to deliver results under pressure.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level negotiation skills.
• Uncompromising commitment to HSEQ / HSSEQ policies, corporate governance, and company code of conduct.
• Full fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.

• 10+ years in commercial roles leading indirect sales and distributor management.
