The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will initially immerse yourself in the bank’s data landscape, managing operations and enablement tasks. As you build expertise, you will transition into a technical leadership role, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide guidance to implementation teams and ensure the success of critical banking projects.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, optimization, and maintenance of on-premise MS SQL data structures.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical guidance and mentorship to project implementation teams.
• Drive operations & enablement initiatives to ensure system stability and performance within the bank.
• Collaborate with software engineers, utilizing your .NET exposure to bridge the gap between application logic and data layers.
• Support high-stakes projects within the Risk IT domain, ensuring data integrity and technical excellence.

What we are looking for:

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with a mastery of MS SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, Performance Tuning).
• Proven experience in on-premise environments.
• Solid exposure to .NET technologies (C#) to facilitate seamless collaboration with dev teams.
• Previous experience in the Banking sector, specifically within Risk IT (Credit Risk, Market Risk, etc.) will be considered as.
• Excellent communication skills in English; ability to influence and guide technical stakeholders.
• Analytical thinking and the ability to thrive in a high-compliance, consulting environment.
