As the Migration Engineer, you will oversee and validate end-to-end data migration lifecycles delivered by external implementation partners. Your core responsibilities will include: 

• Act as the primary internal technical point of contact for the external implementation partner,coordinating and monitoring migration activities throughout the project lifecycle.• Review and validate the migration approach, technical designs, migration plans, source-to-targetmappings, transformation rules, and implementation deliverables.• Collaborate with internal business and technical stakeholders to analyze legacy CRM and Billingsystems, document migration requirements, and ensure effective communication with the implementationpartner.• Monitor and validate data extraction, transformation, loading, and migration activities, ensuring datacompleteness, accuracy, consistency, integrity, and quality.• Perform and support data profiling, data quality assessments, reconciliation activities, and independentvalidation using SQL and other appropriate techniques.• Monitor migration defects, data discrepancies, risks, issues, and dependencies, coordinating theirinvestigation, resolution, and timely escalation.• Support the planning and execution of migration testing, including integration testing, UAT, mockmigrations, end-to-end rehearsals, and validation of test results.• Support cutover and go-live activities, including migration monitoring, stakeholder coordination, riskmanagement, and post-migration validation and reconciliation.

• Ensure appropriate migration documentation, testing evidence, reconciliation reports, and technicalspecifications are maintained in compliance with data governance, security, and audit requirements.• Participate in project governance activities and provide regular updates on migration progress, risks,issues, quality, and outstanding actions.

To excel in this position, you should bring strong technical analytical capabilities paired with hands-on expertise in relational databases and data migration lifecycles. We are looking for: 

• Strong understanding of data migration methodologies, lifecycle activities, and project deliveryapproaches (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to understand complex data structures, systems,and business processes.• Ability to critically review and challenge migration approaches, technical designs, data mappings, andmigration results.• Strong experience in data validation, reconciliation, data quality assessment, and investigation of datadiscrepancies.• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple migration activities, deliverables, risks,and dependencies.• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendorsor implementation partners.• Strong ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and ability to deliver under tight deadlines andcritical go-live conditions.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal English.

Educational Level:• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a relatedtechnical field.• Master's Degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or TechnologyManagement will be considered an asset.

Other Knowledge:• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.• Hands-on experience with data analysis, data profiling, data validation, and data reconciliation.• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration concepts.• Experience reviewing and validating source-to-target data mappings and transformation rules.• Familiarity with CRM, Billing, Finance, or other enterprise operational systems.• Understanding of customer, account, contract, product, billing, invoice, payment, balance, and othertransactional data domains.

• Experience with data migration tools, ETL platforms, APIs, batch processing, and file-based dataexchanges.• Understanding of data governance, data security, data privacy, and data quality principles.• Familiarity with migration testing methodologies, defect management, and reconciliation processes.• Knowledge of project management and delivery tools for monitoring tasks, risks, issues, anddeliverables will be considered an advantage.• Familiarity with the Energy & Utilities business domain will be considered a strong advantage.

Work Experience:• 4+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Migration, Systems Integration, DataManagement, or a related technical field.• 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting complex data migration or enterprise system transformationprojects.• Experience working with large and complex datasets and relational databases.• Strong practical experience with SQL and data validation techniques.• Experience with source-to-target data mapping, transformation, data quality assessment, andreconciliation.• Experience coordinating and monitoring technical activities delivered by external vendors orimplementation partners will be considered a strong advantage.• Experience participating in system integration, data migration testing, migration rehearsals, cutover, orgo-live activities.• Experience working with CRM and/or Billing systems will be considered a strong advantage.• Experience in the Energy & Utilities sector will be considered an advantage.
