As an accounts payable your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-End AP Management: Oversee the invoice-to-pay cycle for assigned group entities, ensuring timely registration of supplier invoices and employee expense claims.
• Payment Execution: Prepare and execute regular and ad-hoc payment runs, including complex, high-value, and same-day urgent transactions.
• Vendor & Reconciliation Control: Lead the vendor statement reconciliation and call-back verification processes to safeguard internal controls.
• Quality Assurance & Mentorship: Review and validate entry-level AP output prior to management approval, acting as a technical guide for junior colleagues.
• Dispute Resolution: Serve as the primary escalation point for resolving vendor inquiries, payment discrepancies, and invoice exceptions.
• Period-End Support: Partner closely with the Senior AP Specialist and finance team during month-end and quarter-end close processes and reporting.

In order for your profile to match the accounts payable position, you need to have the following skills:

• Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Operations, ideally within a multi-entity environment or financial services sector.
• Languages: Excellent verbal and written English (C1/C2) is essential.
• Systems: Strong proficiency in major ERP systems (prior hands-on experience with Workday is considered a solid asset).
• Supervisory / Review Skills: Proven experience in quality-checking and guiding the work of entry-level team members.
• Market Exposure: Exposure to UK business practices and accounting flows will be highly regarded.
• Competencies: High numerical accuracy, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to operate effectively within tight deadlines.
