The key responsibilities of the Production Manager include:
- Ensure smooth operation of the production department with minimal disruptions and strong team coordination
- Achieve production goals through optimal line utilization, minimizing downtime and material waste
- Implement the production schedule in collaboration with the Planning department, reducing deviations and inefficiencies
- Oversee the timely setup of production lines and coordinate closely with line operators and technicians
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with the Technical Department for maintenance or improvement actions
- Organize and allocate production staff to meet daily and long-term scheduling demands
- Manage and develop production personnel through training, motivation, evaluation, and performance tracking
- Monitor and control production KPIs and cost targets; ensure operations remain within budget
- Calculate and track standard production times (machine hours, labor hours), analyze productivity indicators
- Collaborate with R&D, Project Management, QA, QC, and Engineering departments for process validation, scale-up, and continuous improvement
- Ensure all GMP standards and quality protocols are strictly followed
- Prepare and analyze production reports; actively participate in audits and technical visits
προσόντα
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production & Management Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar technical field
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, KPI monitoring
- Excellent command of the English language
- Technical understanding of machine setup and production processes
- Familiarity with setting up and validating manufacturing parameters and work instructions for new products
