Reporting to leadership within the Data & Analytics tribe, duties will include:

• Architecting and building a next-generation, scalable, and secure Big Data Platform with a focus on the Data Mesh paradigm.
• Driving optimal performance and cost-efficiency by refining data pipelines and data storage, implementing FinOps best practices for resource management.
• Assisting in the implementation of data security and compliance policies aligned with industry standards to ensure a secure data environment.
• Championing continuous improvement of the data platform by staying ahead of emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
• Acting as a key technical voice, effectively communicating best practices for data architecture, technology selection, and solution design both internally and externally.
• Collaborating with leadership to support team growth by identifying and attracting top talent.
• Challenging the technical status quo, actively exploring new data processing paradigms, optimizing for real-time analytics, and driving innovation in data architecture.

For a profile to match this Principal Data Engineer position, the following are required:

• Deep expertise in the full lifecycle of large-scale data processing systems, from design to implementation.
• Proven experience with designing and deploying data pipelines, real-time analytics solutions, and storage architectures.
• Experience with data quality management principles.
• Experience in implementing data security and compliance policies in alignment with industry standards.
• Solid knowledge of cloud technologies, including familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
