As a Medical Representative your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducts regular visits to all Healthcare Professionals in his/her assigned geographical territory, in order to ensure that they receive updated and unbiased scientific information pertaining to the responsible use of Bayer pharmaceutical products aiming to maximize the benefits for the patients/users while minimizing the risks
  • Keeps up to date with the latest clinical data/ product information supplied by marketing/ medical and develops product scientific knowledge in order to responsibly convey Bayer’s product value proposition
  • Is well aware of and strictly adheres to all relevant Bayer values and guidelines as well as the Code of Ethics of the Industry and the laws and regulations of the Greek state
  • Identifies, establishes and manages high quality relationships with HCPs in the private sector and hospitals, in order to meet their needs and to successfully handle questions & objections
  • Communicates and aligns on a daily basis to agree on the visit plan and to exchange necessary input, market insights and feedback. Implements the territory plan in accordance with the brand strategy and sales activation plan in order to maximize sales growth to the assigned territory and to identify new business opportunities to meet the short and mid-term sales performance of the brand(s) in the territory. Evaluates progress vs. plan and vs. the IQVIA results on a monthly basis and proceeds to corrective actions, where necessary
  • Monitors product activity in each hospital/ HCP and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated. Conducts regular visits to assigned pharmacies in order to assess product usage in his/her assigned territory
  • Collects, maintains and assesses all necessary market information in order to implement customer segmentation according to agreed criteria. Gives regular feedback to the management and makes proposals to support the development of the territory and sales activation plan
  • Thoroughly follows the market trends (competition, healthcare trends, hospital practices, healthcare authorities etc.) in a proactive and continuous manner and share this information with internal stakeholders to achieve alignment, anticipate industry changes and challenges and to optimize brand strategy and its execution
  • Represents the company in promotional events and participates in medical congresses and scientific events to promote and strengthen company’s brand


The ideal candidate for the position of Medical Representative will be expected to possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university with strong preference in Life Sciences.
  • Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration (MBA), Economics or any other relevant field is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the local health care environment.
  • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets, through excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas in a credible and transparent manner (verbal, written)
  • Fluency in Greek and English (both written and verbal)
  • Traveling required


  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills and passion to deliver great results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting trustful relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers and making sense of metrics
  • Self-motivation along with an innovative and problem-solving attitude. Team player with a shared mindset
  • Adequate digital/IT skills (as an end user) – Ability to quickly adopt new technologies
  • Key competencies: customer focus, drives results, instills trust, self-development


  • At least 2 years of sales experience within a pharmaceutical company, preferably in Cardiolo
