As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, deployment and maintenance of databases that will handle millions of records related to accounting, sales, marketing and similar business data. Your duties will be the following:

• Design of Data Architecture.
• Evaluation of alternative cloud platforms and tools.
• Data integration of inhomogeneous datasets.
• Data modelling and design.
• Data pipeline orchestration.
• Implementation of sound data governance practices for:

2. Security, including GDPR compliance.
3. Data quality monitoring and enforcement.
4. Data lineage and auditing of data through its lifetime

As a Senior Data Engineer, you need to have the following skills:

• 3+ years of relevant experience working as Data Engineer
• Design and develop infrastructure for large/medium scale migration efforts to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
• Hands on experience in migrating on premise ETLs to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
• Experience in transactional databases (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL), in specific query/view composition, backup/restore, maintenance and performance, installation and monitoring
• Understand and implement proper code-testing methodologies
• Knowledge of Python and PySpark
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Apache Airflow)
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English
