The procurement specialist will have the following responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate suppliers: Research and identify potential suppliers for the products and services needed by the organization. Evaluate suppliers based on their quality, compliance with regulatory standards, price, delivery times, and customer service.
• Negotiate contracts for products and services: Work with suppliers to negotiate contracts that outline the terms and conditions of the agreement, including price, delivery schedules, regulatory compliance, warranties, and payment terms.
• Purchase products and services: Purchase products and services in a timely manner, following established procedures and policies, and ensuring that all purchases comply with regulatory requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable delivery, resolve issues related to regulatory compliance, and manage any changes to contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance: Track supplier performance against established metrics and take corrective action when necessary to ensure that suppliers meet regulatory requirements and expectations.
• Manage inventory: Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and ensure that stock levels are maintained at appropriate levels to meet regulatory requirements.
• Conduct market research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and services that could benefit the organization.
• Develop procurement policies and procedures: Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures that comply with regulatory standards while also ensuring that they are efficient and effective.
• Manage procurement records: Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts, and ensure that they comply with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze procurement data: Analyze procurement data to identify cost savings opportunities, evaluate supplier performance, and make informed decisions about future procurement needs, while also ensuring regulatory compliance.

The Procurement Specialist must possess the following:

• A BSc and an MSc degree in economics or a relevant sector
• Proven experience of 2 years within a well-organized procurement function
• Excellent knowledge of the English language (business professional)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of ERP systems and other online tools will be an asset
• Experience with other Procurement related solutions/ tools
• Experience in preparation of operational reports on monitored activities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
