As a Procurement Engineer in this role, your main responsibilities will be the following: 

• Responsible to drive the execution and implementation of assigned projects & programs
• Provides updates to the organization on the progress and issues of projects assigned
• Work closely with QA, Manufacturing, and Engineering on Pilot executions
• Conduct research to identify new sources, and preparing reports
• Evaluate current and potential suppliers for cost, quality and ability to maintain inventory levels as established by Company standards
• Issuance, review, update, and maintain purchase orders until order confirmation
• Assist in contract pricing validation for all purchase requests
• Monitor and maintain to ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts
• Facilitate communication between supplier and material planning team to meet on-time delivery, and to resolve unexpected demand, shortage, or other order changes
• Contribute to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the local supplier base
• Consult with engineering team to establish product/part performance criteria for suppliers, and generate specification comparison analysis
• Establish and meet cost containment / cost reduction targets by pursuing opportunities through alternate sourcing, & benchmarking.
• Support Vendor audit/qualification and periodic assessment procedures
• Monitor Vendor quality, pricing and delivery issues, and maintain Vendor performance record

The position of Procurement Engineer is just the right one for you if you possess the following skills: 

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Industrial Engineering or any equivalent technical degree
• 5+ years of experience in procurement for power plants or other electromechanical installations
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 
• Excellent English

• Efficient planning, organizing, and time management skills, self-motivation, learning mindset, and teamwork
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivation along with an innovative and problem-solving attitude
