    As a big data engineer, you will develop, test, and maintain company's Big Data solutions. Your job is to gather large amounts of data from multiple sources and ensure that downstream users can access the data quickly and efficiently. Your duties will be the following:

    • Review requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations
    • Define appropriate architecture and other technical solutions and make recommendations to business
    • Responsible for all test & development environments required for project delivery
    • Estimate tasks required to complete various development projects including time and resources

  • προσόντα

    As a big data engineer, you need to have the following skills:

    • 2+ years of experience in a relevant role
    • Design and develop infrastructure for large/medium scale migration efforts to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platforms
    • Hands on experience in migrating on premise ETLs to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using tools such as Pub/Sub, Cloud Dataproc, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Big Query
    • Knowledge of PySpark, Java and/or Scala
    • Knowledge of data streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming)
    • Knowledge of data infrastructure and database systems (RDBMS/NoSQL)
