The Technical Support Engineer (maritime) position is full time and permanent with 24x7 shift rotation, based in Piraeus.

As Technical Support Engineer (maritime), you’ll be part of the Service Management team delivering technical support to customers, resolving incidents and restoring normal service in a timely and efficient manner. Working a 24x7 shift rotation and in line with standard operating procedures, you’ll be responsible for investigation, fault finding and configuration of various provided hardware, software and services. More specifically, your duties will be the following:

  • Investigate and troubleshoot Incidents clients Satellite and network hardware/software/services
  • Configuration of clients Satellite and network hardware/software/services
  • Perform the daily support tasks and handle customers’ requests /enquiries of the Department
  • Utilize company's Incident Management Tool (Service Now) to log and update reported faults from clients
  • Liaise with Clients to investigate issues and ensure Incidents are rectified or escalated accordingly
  • Utilize monitoring and reporting tools to identify and troubleshoot issues 


In order for your profile to match the Technical Support Engineer (maritime) position, you need to have the following skills:

  • Basic knowledge in Networking/IT
  • Electronics/Telecommunications/Computer/IT related Degree
  • Ability to troubleshoot Network/Software/Hardware related issues using remote tools
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills in both Greek and English
  • Ability to manage workload in-line with standard operating procedures
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
  • Completed military obligations, if applicable

The following will be considered an asset: 

  • Knowledge of Satellite Communications Systems
  • Experience of satellite modems with emphasis on iDirect and Comtech products
  • Knowledge of satellite link parameters
  • Experience with iDirect software
  • Experience in bandwidth management systems
  • Knowledge of MS Operating Systems and products
