responsibilities

As a Senior Automation Engineer, in this role, your main responsibilities will be the following:

• Design, implement and install PLC programs
• Develop PLC, HMI software using the Schneider SoMachine Software 
• Perform PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA applications for the integration of the system 
• Control networks (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, CAN )
• Support the commissioning teams by ad-hoc problem-solving during installation
• Propose upgrades for the automation by introducing new electrical automation devices, instruments and improved control logic.

requirements

The position of  Senior Automation Engineer is just the right one for you if you possess the following skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
• 5+ years of professional experience in relevant role (any previous experience in Marine industry would be an asset)
• Very good knowledge of PLC Schneider programming (SoMachine, Vijeo) or any other PLC programming platform
• Knowledge of network communication protocols (industrial Ethernet, RS232/485, Modbus, Profibus), VPN, wireless networks, as well as configuration of measuring devices
• Very good knowledge of English
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment 
• Multitasking and ability to handle a number of projects in parallel
• Self-motivated, well organized, highly collaborative, team player
• Critical thinking and problem solving 
• Customer oriented
• Analytical thinking and decision-making skills
