The main responsibilities of the Sales Manager:

  • Develops a sales plan with distinct sales strategy for the assigned market in order to achieve sales goals and profitability. Incorporates marketing plan and strategy
  • Develops action plans for Area Managers for effective sales direction and management
  • Establishes sales strategies to expand customer base & penetrate new markets. Sets the call plan/cycle and controls sales reporting
  • Assists in the development of business plan as needed and comes with proposals to address market competition
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Provides timely feedback to management regarding performance
  • Maintains accurate records to all activity reports of the sales force team to monitor performance
  • Provides leadership to the sales force team and motivates them accordingly
  • Conducts one-to-one reviews with all Area Managers to build more effective communication, to understand training and development needs and to provide assistance on management of Medical Representatives
  • Coordinates sales organisational structure. Initiates recruiting, and new hires based on criteria agreed upon by management. Initiates and documents poor performance management
  • Supports performance reviews and development plans not only for Area Managers but for the Medical Representatives as well
  • Effectively communicates within the company enhancing behaviour of trust, open minding and ethics
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the whole sales force team
  • Keeps regular contact with the key physicians ensuring optimum communication and getting market insight


The ideal candidate for the position of a Sales Manager will be expected to possess the following:

  • At least 5 years of proven track record in a sales managerial or supervisory role within the pharmaceutical industry of primary care products 
  • University/College Degree; Masters in Business relevant area will be considered an asset
  • Proven Track record in Peoples’ management
  • Fluency in Greek and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as proven negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal leadership skills
  • Highly skilful in Windows, Office and Explorer relevant software
  • Sound commercial and strategic thinking needs to be demonstrated 
  • Master in Business Acumen, Change Management, Computer Literacy 
  • Proficient in Cost Leadership and Innovation
  • Create a compelling & Inspiring Strategy
