As a Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the execution of the Business Plan, in order to meet sales, profit, days sales outstanding, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, business development and objectives
  • Monitor the environment and the trends in the local market in order to evaluate business opportunities and risks. Network with key actors
  • Set goals, develop competencies and lead the Sales team
  • Define with functional county managers the type and specifications of the services to be acquired and/or delivered from/to them, monitoring costs and service levels
  • Financial reporting, budgeting, planning and execution
  • Drive and contribute to successful implementation of various projects aiming at business growth and efficiency
  • Implementation and control of sales working procedures and standards
  • Manage change towards high performance new ways of doing and behaving in the organisation
  • Demonstrate a clear personal commitment to company‟s policy and always comply with the culture and the vision of the holdings


The ideal candidate for the position of Sales Manager will be expected to possess the following:

  • 5-10 years managerial work experience in the Shipping/Logistics/Transport industry
  • Strong capacity to synthesize and structure market information to liaise with top management and group headquarters
  • English proficiency, French would be considered as an asset
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration/Shipping 
  • Master's degree will be considered a plus (MBA)
  • Experienced user of MS Office package
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to build, lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to drive and install change
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to negotiate with a variety of partners on the market of all sizes and backgrounds
  • Management experience including P&L responsibility
  • Strong business sense
  • Analytical skills, understanding of key revenue and cost drivers
  • Ability to think strategically and analyze, review, develop, and implement action plans
  • Ability to work under pressure, overflow of information and tight deadlines requiring strong prioritization/organisation skills
  • Ability to think out of the box to come up with new ideas and concepts
  • Strong drive to create new business as opposed to only administer the existing business
