key responsibilities
As an Oracle Database Administrator you will:
- Work collaboratively with different teams to administer the build out and support of Oracle Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production system
- Escalate to certain suppliers on customer’s behalf to try to resolve issues outside of our control, such as bug fix requests.
- Communicate with the customer through formal correspondence
- Ensure compliance with all technical specifications
- Database health monitoring, export and import
- Organize and provide daily operations and checks.
- Administrative tasks, such as, promotions on all instances, code changes, recompiles, data changes, cloning, relocate, rename Instances, performance Issues, query optimization, installation of new Instances, changes on the configuration, patching and updates, troubleshooting
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation in support of production issues
qualifications
What will you need for this Oracle Database Administrator:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
- Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and backup tools like RMAN.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
