responsibilities

The Office Manager will be responsible for providing support to the Director of the Athens branch while managing and overseeing the weekly operations.  Duties include:

  • Maintains the general building and office needs such as equipment, building access, and office supplies 
  • Is the point person for providing technical support to the Director, faculty and students for their hardware and software needs, and  is the liaison with the contracted IT support for resolving issues on site  
  • Organizes and coordinates activities, events, and group meetings   
  • Maintains accurate accounting, financial tracking and reconciling of expenses 
  • Preparation of meeting materials, media support, and advertising activities 
  • Maintains and updates  website content
  • Responsible for calendar scheduling, announcements, catering, guest travel arrangements 
  • Creating and maintaining of hard copy and electronic file and lists 
  • General office and miscellaneous ad hoc tasks

requirements

The successful candidate for the Office Manager role must:

  • Have a college degree and a minimum of five years of managerial experience in an academic environment.
  • Be fluent in English and Greek, oral and written.
  • Have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.  
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel) and web site experience for creating and maintaining website pages and content
  • Have working knowledge of accounting procedures and experience with preparing budgetary reports
  • Preferred familiarity and/or experience working as an administrator in a U.S. institution.
  • Be flexible and able to prioritize and work well under pressure, taking direction from supervisors. 
  • Be comfortable with working autonomously, as well as able to work collaboratively with supervisor, university management and staff, faculty and students
