The responsibilities of the National Account Manager are:

  • To develop and maintain effective business relationships with Key Accounts for the achievement of sales and profitability targets for all product categories.
  • To negotiate the product placement with customers in chains and ensure adequate and agreed distribution of our products.
  • To negotiate and ensure that the annual commercial agreements are finalized and implemented properly.
  • To ensure that there are updated, when applied, written merchandising standards and accounts standards (assortment, planogram for all the accounts etc.).
  • To participate to the Business Planning Process in order to optimize effectively both short and long term of the company's business planning.
  • To proactively lead a joint company -strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.
  • To manage and develop a number of accounts in executing a sales plan ensuring the advancement of the PnL’s sales and profitability objectives.
  • To ensure strategic customer account plans and participates in the budget revisions.
  • To design and ensure the implementation of all category’s and customer’s promo plans.
  • To be responsible for the continuous improvement of his/hers team skills.
  • To report to the Head of Sales.


The National Account Manager should have the following:

  • Bachelor in Business Administration/ Marketing preferably. A relevant Master degree will be considered as an asset.
  • 7-9 years of relevant working experience, 3 out of which in similar position, preferably in FMCG Sector (especially in food sector).
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language.
  • Familiar with ERP systems, SAP knowledge will be considered as an asset.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to support key accounts, up to 10% travel.
  • Excellent relationship building and conflict management/ resolution skills.
  • Strong persuasive, negotiation and presentation capabilities.
  • Excellent commercial understanding, P&L literacy – strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Team player attitude and ability to interact with others.
