We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Officer to join a leading shipping company in order to oversee the company's information technology infrastructure and ensure the efficient and secure operation of all technology systems.

key responsibilities
As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure
- Provide technical support to end-users
- Install and upgrade hardware and software
- Ensure data security and backup
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers
- Stay updated on emerging technologies
- Develop and implement IT policies
- Support new IT projects
- Maintain accurate documentation
qualifications
The ideal IT Officer will have:
- Strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an IT Officer or similar role, with a track record of managing IT infrastructure and providing technical support.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and IT service management tools.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and security systems.
