responsibilities

As a Hotel Area Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee four hotels in Crete to ensure that companies quality standards are met aligned with an optimal level of service and hospitality for guest satisfaction
  • Balance operational needs, implement strategy with a passion for business excellence
  • Visit, evaluate, and ensure that all hotels perform in accordance with international brand standards and SOPs
  • Offers consultation and recommendations to hotel managers on overcoming operational challenges as well as, guidance, training, and mentoring.
  • Along with general management he / she develops and monitors on a higher level the budget in order to maximize revenue and minimize expenses, while ensuring the optimization of supplies and staff
  • Provides a monthly summary of actual area results compared with Yearly Budget & Forecast and proposes changes when necessary
  • Follows up with guest reviews / reputation and plans strategies towards increasing scores of guest satisfaction
  • Attends operational meetings while reviewing actions taken
  • Constantly reviews key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to achieve company goals
  • Provides guidance for staff recruitment
  • Is aware of competition and market trends, proposes actions to differentiate from competition and proposes strategy based on market needs
  • Cooperates closely with Senior Management and follows given objectives

qualifications

Before applying for the position of Hotel Area Manager, make sure you have the following requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Hospitality/Tourism. A Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality Industry or relevant field is a plus
  • International hospitality exposure or local experience in International Hotel Chains will be further appreciated
  • Proven track record in multi-property management will be considered a plus
  • Excellent MS Office, strong email, PC and internet skills
  • Excellent command of both English and Greek language is essential, knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Very good knowledge of hotel management software (PMS OPERA) is essential
