The financial controller is responsible for:

• Financial support to the region; working as part of the Regional Team to deliver on defined targets.
• Validating the business plans to drive the business forward whilst ensuring effective use of investment.
• Financial Planning & Forecasting for the region
• Supporting the Finance Manager with creating and validating financial plans to ensure accuracy, strategic fit and financial success of the Region. 
• Provide analysis to challenge both supply and retail pricing decisions. Proactively identify and suggest potential pricing wins.
• Regular evaluation of regional, market and customer performance to manage risks and exploit opportunities. Including creation of market & customer profitability analysis to aid decision making.
• Ensuring optimal financial management of the regions investments to drive efficiency and support of growth initiatives. 
• With guidance from the Finance Manager control the Regional A&P budgets working closely with the Finance Operations team with effective stakeholder engagement of budget holders.
• Budget administration as required to support the needs of the Finance Operations team.
• Manage customer credit levels.
• Provide input on commercial decisions and support this with relevant reporting, analysis and insight.
• Ensure relevant controls are in place to satisfy both local and Group policies/rules with regards to Finance and supporting others e.g. Sales
• Support the wider Finance teams as necessary with Global needs including but not restricted to; planning,forecasting, reporting, projects, PO creation, corporate/group initiatives and compliance.

In order for your profile to match this financial controller position you need to have the following: 

• University Degree in Finance,Accounting, Economics, Business etc
• Experience in FMCG Finance Environment is desired
• Commercial focus with the confidence to challenge the status quo
• Good knowledge of Financial Systems (SAP,Controller, PR, Microstrategy),
• Financial Reporting, Internal Controls and IFRS
• Strong MS Office Skills – Excel to include pivot tables, formulae, logic
• Fluency in English

• 5 years finance or accounting experience preferably in FMCG industry
