key responsibilities
As a Chief Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, including maintenance, repairs, and installation activities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure all hotel facilities and equipment are in excellent working condition.
- Manage a team of engineers and maintenance staff
- Prepare and manage the engineering department budget, controlling costs without compromising quality.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including equipment logs, maintenance schedules, and repair reports.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provide timely solutions to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
qualifications
For the Chief Engineer position you should ideally demonstrate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Excellent command of Greek and English.
