responsibilities

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for:

  • Sales of sea, land transport and air freight forwarding services within a defined geographical territory/area
  • Retain, manage and develop sales relationships with existing customers
  • Research local market, identify new business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector and attract new customers
  • Implementation of pricing and credit policy in the area of responsibility
  • Perform and document all sales activities (visits, hit rate etc.) in company system
  • Formulate,send and follow up offers to company's customers
  • Gather information about customers and market to current conditions
  • Identify major opportunities and develop a sales plan to achieve targets in nominated areas of responsibility
  • Build appropriate level relationships with prospects
  • Complete thorough investigations into target company operations
  • Develop commercial proposals in line with the company's policy, offering newest solutions, procedures and processes

requirements

The Business Development Executive should obtain:

  • 2-3 years minimum experience in a B2B sales services roles within the freight forwarding sector
  • University Degree in Business/Marketing/Economics; MSc will be considered an asset
  • Commercial acumen, ability to build and maintain strong commercial relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of English language
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills (oral/written)
  • Determination, taking initiatives, innovative thinking and team spirit
  • Commitment to excellence and pressure resistance
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to handle numbers and analytical thinking
