As IMERY's trusted partner, Randstad is seeking to recruit specialized accountants (GL, AP, AR) for this new SSC organization.

Do you have experience as an accountant in accounts payable? Then this accounts payable team leader in accounting position is waiting for you. We are looking for an accounts payable team leader in accounting to join the Shared Services Center (SSC) team of IMERYS. The position is full time and permanent, based in Athens.

    responsibilities

    As a accounts payable team leader in accounting at IMERYS your responsibilities will include:

    • Use ERP to support the Purchase Ledger process duties
    • Reviewing systems, processes and controls to ensure optimum efficiency and security is maintained
    • Ensure Purchase Ledger monthly and year-end closing procedures are completed efficiently, accurately and timely
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards and SLAs
    • Ensuring Service Level Agreements and KPI’s are managed and adhered to
    • Develop Purchase Ledger best practice processes, service measures, targets, goals and strategies
    • Ensuring that all relevant tax and statutory legislation is adhered to
    • Assume responsibility for the quality, service levels and timeliness of the team’s work
    • Responsible for the output of, and quality of services provided by the SSC AP and T&E team to key customers (who include Customers, Suppliers, Employees, Senior Management, Regulatory Bodies, etc.)
    • Lead, plan and organise the team’s work
    • Perform team processes including escalated and more complex/sensitive activities
    • Provide ongoing performance management to team
    • Coach and advice team
    • Recognise and communicate potential issues/risks with team
    • Motivating, developing and coaching for maximising

    requirements

    In order for your profile to match the accounts payable team leader  in accounting position at IMERYS, you need to have the following skills:

    • Accounting, Finance or Business Degree, CPA or MBA
    • ACCA or ACA is a plus
    • Minimum of 3 years prior similar job experience (as supervisor)
    • Previous line management/ supervisory experience
    • Shared services experience a plus
    • SAP experience
    • English: essential
    • French, German, Dutch, Finnish, Spanish or Italian is a plus
    • Strong influencing skills
    • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
    • Strong team player
    • Strong leadership
    • Time management, planning and organisation
