Randstad Hellas successfully organized the event "The Future of Work and Recruitment in Greece", which was held on Tuesday, 9 May 2017, at Gazarte in Gazi. The main topic of the event was the future of work and entrepreneurship in Greece on the basis of the new digital reality in the global labor market. Participation from the business community in Greece was great and laid the foundations for creating new ideas in the modern work environment.

Keynote speakers were Mrs Annemarie Muntz, President of the World and European Labor Confederation, and Mrs Vaishali Sachdev, Randstad Holding's E-Commerce Director. Mrs Muntz referred to the labor market of Greece over the past decade compared to the EU data and the factors that determine it. Moreover she mentioned the changes required for shaping the work of the future, as well as, the skills that will be in strong demand in the following years. Mrs Sachdev pointed out the impact of technology and digital marketing on HR services, in particular in the process of staffing and talent attraction, engagement and the benefits it has for a profitable business development.

The event also had participation of experienced senior executives from the Greek business community, who presented the best practices of their companies, explaining how the innovation and the new ideas they implemented in their working environment -responding to the new changes and demands of the labor market- enhanced the productivity of their team. Four prominent speakers, Ms Drosia Kardasi, HR Director of Interamerican, Mr Dimitris Vassalakis, HR Manager of Intrasoft, Ms Tatiana Tounta, Chief Operating Officer of Piraeus Bank Group Chief Executive Officer, Human Resources & Organizational Learning and Ms Tonia Farsati, Chief Operating Officer of reportbrain, highlighted the importance of adapting a new HR strategy in alignment with the rapid technological changes and the flexible new working methods that arise.

The future of work is changing sharply and is characterized by a combination of technology and human touch (Tech & Touch), which Randstad is very passionate about. After the successful completion of the event, we believe we have laid the groundwork for innovative debate and we are one step closer to realizing the future work place.
