Are you a hard working Procurement Specialist looking for an opportunity within a European Union organisation (EASO)?  
Do you have experience in the field in a busy, fast paced environments? Would you like to work in an organisation that provides support to people affected by humanitarian crisis?
The European Asylum Support Office (EASO) is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to start work in Greek Islands.

As a Procurement Specialist in this role, your main responsibilities will be the following: 

  • Logistical arrangements,
  • Purchasing various items and services for operations, 
  • Liaising with EASO HQ for shipment and receiving technical equipment and other necessary material to the EASO Asylum Support Teams,
  • Photocopying, scanning and printing,
  • Office management tasks,
  • Running errands in and around the hotspot and other sites as necessary,
  • Finding practical solutions for solving logistical problems on the ground,
  • Organizing small events (venues, catering, etc.),
  • Keeping records and managing databases (AIP, expert and interpreters pledges, nominations, deployment overview, etc),
  • Maintaining inventory and managing assets in the office,
  • Process data from the field,
  • Opening and closing the EASO office,
  • Drafting, processing, and sending invitation and deployment letters for experts  and interpreters (and related administrative support documents – NF, budget monitoring table, etc),
  • Booking flights and hotels,
  • Preparing pre-financing requests,
  • Follow-up to receive reimbursement request,
  • Preparing reimbursement requests,
  • Archiving electronically,
  • Budget monitoring,
  • Drafting reports,
  • Project management support tasks,
  • Any other tasks as necessary.


The position of Procurement Specialist is just the right one for you if you possess the following skills: 

  • University degree
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Excellent English 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent soft skills 
  • Flexibility, ability to multi-task and to work under pressure
  • Organization and follow-through skills and ability to deliver in deadlines
