As an HR Trainee, you will assist in the smooth running of the office with duties such as:

  • Provide support and actively contribute to HR projects & initiatives as required (Workday, GDPR, Talent, Diversity, Comp & Ben etc)
  • Provide logistical support for CHRO and support delivery of operational HR activities within the HR governance arena (e.g. MCA, HR Expense Management, Third Party Management (TPM), Vendor Management, Records Management) most of which needs to be done on the ground to ensure compliance
  • Assist with benefits policy and any other HR related activities and processes
  • Act proactively, take initiative and assist with ad hoc administrative tasks
  • Attend team meetings, take minutes and sending to the team for action
  • Use judgement and initiative to address and/or escalate requests in a timely manner
  • Assist in process improvement efforts to increase efficiency and employee satisfaction
  • Focus on administering defined procedures, analyses and report preparation
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


The requirements for the HR trainee role are:

  • Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Law or related discipline
  • Excellent use of all Microsoft products (emphasis on MS Excel and MS Power Point)
  • Proficient in written & spoken English
  • 1-2 years previous working experience in a similar role
  • Highly organised and execution oriented
  • Strong Numerical and analytical skills
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Proficient in multi-tasking and ability to work efficiently under pressure/meeting deadlines
