Does the idea of working in the compliance department of a bank, in the position of AML compliance officer appeal to you? Do you have the below requirements and skills to stand out? We are looking for an AML compliance officer on behalf of our client who will support the business in the implementation of new rules and regulations eg. by monitoring the implementation process and ensuring the relevant procedures are in place.

The main tasks in this AML compliance officer role are for you to:

  • Participate in the Compliance monitoring as necessary in relation to transaction monitoring and/or as per Compliance monitoring programme
  • Support the necessary oversight of the company
  • Give support to CCO in Legal and Compliance matters as necessary
  • Help to Carry out AML controls as per established program
  • Participate in the organisation of compliance trainings
  • Participate in the implementation of procedures and processes in relation to new regulatory and requirements
  • Prepare the necessary reports to head office and other regulatory bodies as appropriate


In order to be suitable for this AML compliance officer you must possess:

  • University graduate in relevant fields e.g. Accounting, finance, law
  • 2 to 3 years of working experience in compliance in the financial sector
  • Fluent in  English, knowledge of Chinese and French is an advantage
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations e.g. AML (Αnti-money Laundering) , FATCA and CRS required by the law
  • A professional qualification as well as an abundant experience in the field of compliance
  • Familiarity with the products, services, customers and geographical area of operations of the company as well as relevant money laundering and sanction risks
  • Good knowledge on computer systems e.g. word and excel
  • Focus on quality
  • Drive for results, timely decision-making and efficiency
  • Teamwork
  • Good communication skills including report writing
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Sound professional ethics and reputation, good faith performance
  • High sensitivity and capability of identifying risks
